Step into the Study Abroad Fair

This Monday, September 16, the Office of Education Abroad will be hosting its annual Study Abroad Fair! The event will take place in Baker Ballroom from 11AM-4PM and is free to all attendees.  The purpose of the Study Abroad Fair is to provide students with a wealth of information on traveling abroad. Every OHIO program will be there as well as our affiliate programs, giving students the chance to learn more about studying, working, volunteering and interning abroad. With over 300 programs available there is something for everyone! Along with program information there will be booths with information about financial aid and scholarships, passports and career and leadership development.

Each year at the Study Abroad Fair, free t-shirts are usually given away. This year we have decided to implement two interactive contests for attendees to participate in for a chance to win FREE prizes:

  • T—shirt scavenger hunt: All throughout the fair there will be “mini” t-shirts hidden around the room. If you find one of them it automatically becomes your t-shirt voucher and you can redeem it for a free t-shirt at the t-shirt table. Note that there is one per attendee and it is while supplies last. We will replenish the t-shirts each hour so that no matter when you come you will have a fair chance. Think of this as the “Where’s Waldo” game of the Study Abroad fair.
  • Twitter Contest: If you take a picture of yourself with a booth and/or faculty member and tweet it with the hashtag #OHIOStudyAbroadFair you will have the chance to win a mystery prize package. One overall winner will be selected at random and the prize package could include things such as water bottles, magnets, shirts and a gift card uptown!

So stop by the Study Abroad fair and see what opportunities await you! If you are unable to make it to the Study Abroad Fair we have walk-in advising every day M-F from 1-4. Let us help you plan your next adventure!
